In pre-Second World War England, a leading film star and his wife attempt to recover a secret carburetor stolen by enemy agents. Based on a popular stage musical starring Hulbert and Courtneidge, a husband-and-wife team who had made a series of successful comedy films during the 1930s.

A famous singer, bored with music and fans, goes to live in Mexico. His manager sends a woman to bring him back. They fall in love.

Ida is a woman who was adopted to Finland from Africa as a child. Ida is an unemployed seamstress approaching her thirties and still lives at home with her activist mother Kati. Kati wants to fix her daughter's life and offers her a job at her work. Encouraged by her new friend Ville, Ida, however, sets out for Berlin in order to find a job and to prove to her mother that she can manage on her own. Meanwhile, Kati has been told that she is seriously ill, but she does not want to mention it to Ida in fear of standing in the way of her daughter's struggle for independence. Ida wants to have a life of her own, but what will she have left at the end of the day?

The end of the Great Patriotic War. Soviet troops arrive in a city abandoned by the fascists. Two women from the operational group find shelter in a house that, apparently, had been recently occupied by a German officer. Among the abandoned belongings is a lady's pink hat. The next morning, after leaving the house, one of the women decides to return for the hat and dies: the beautiful pink hat was booby-trapped.

Snuffy, Barney and Louise are stranded in the big city with no money for a mule and a wagon until a pair of gangsters offer to buy them one if they will just deliver a note and a satchel to the nearby bank. Desperately in need of funds to return to Hootin' Holler, Snuffy gets a job helping out the men by standing guard outside of a building... not realizing that he's becoming an unwitting pawn to a pair of bank robbers. The hero of the movie is a popular composer and jazz performer. He is certainly a gifted man. However, his character is... to put it mildly, uncomfortable. He lives by emotions, he cares little about the fate of people who love him. Some will think that he is right in his own way; some will think that he missed something important in life. But anyway, one thing is certain: God is helping him.

At first blush, Shmuel is a pious Hasidic man leading a fairly simple life. By day he dutifully prays at the local synagogue and manages a busy dry cleaner. But when his wife and daughters leave town for a few days, Shmuel will step out of his simple daily life and into a more complex world lit by the night. When he misplaces his black hat along the way, Shmuel’s two lives will interconnect in a way he never expected.

The story is about how a metropolitan writer, concerned about the “fifth point of his questionnaire,” instead of the noble or, at worst, rabbit fur assigned to him by rank, was given a “medium fluffy domestic cat” at the Literary Fund, and how he, previously quiet and inconspicuous, ventured to a “mutiny on a ship” confidently cutting through the waters of “socialist realism.”

Takarazuka's 2015 Cosmos Troupe adaptation of the 1935 american musical of the same name which tells the story of an American showman, Jerry Travers (Asaka Manato), who comes to London to star in a show produced by the bumbling Horace Hardwick (Nanami Hiroki). While practicing a tap dance routine in his hotel bedroom, he awakens Dale Tremont (Misaki Rion) on the floor below. She storms upstairs to complain, whereupon Jerry falls hopelessly in love with her and proceeds to pursue her all over London. Complications arise when Dale mistakes Jerry for Horace.
